Magnesium Complex. Magnesium is an essential mineral. It is present in more than 300 enzymatic systems where it is crucial for energy production and other metabolic functions. The heart, brain and kidneys cannot function without adequate levels of this nutrient. Seventy percent of the body's magnesium is found in the bones, and the rest is found mainly in the soft tissues and blood. Magnesium is necessary for the metabolism of vitamin C, phosphorus, potassium and sodium. It is important to the nervous system and for the synthesis of certain proteins. It governs how calcium is used in the body. Magnesium Complex combines two excellent forms of magnesium--citrate and malate. Studies show that magnesium citrate and malate are more soluble and better absorbed than the other forms of magnesium. Each capsule provides 100 mg magnesium. Take 2 capsules twice daily with meal.
